Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. Over 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco categorizes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as the feminist's icon, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the founder in DIY music. She was among the first musicians to establish their own labels in the year 90. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had been in contact while at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother was born in Montreal and her father is of Italian heritage. Ani Difrasco wrote and sang the song "32 Flavors".
