Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. Over 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco categorizes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. But it has influences from hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as the feminist's icon, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the founder in DIY music.
