Lis Wiehl (born September 19, 1959) is an American author, and former legal analyst for Fox News.
She previously served as an Assistant Professor of Law at The University of Washington Law School. She provided legal commentary on Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor as well as National Public Radio. She appears weekly on The O'Reilly Factor. The Kelly File The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly. Lou Dobbs Now. The Imus breakfast shows. Legal Lis is the Legal Lis podcast and radio show.
Wiehl is a native of Yakima, Washington, and was a graduate of West Valley High School in Yakima. She earned a bachelor's diploma in law from Barnard College (1983), the Master of Arts in Literature Studies from the University of Queensland (1985) in addition to an Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Harvard Law School (1997).
Wiehl worked as a prosecutor in the US Attorney's Office. She was a legal correspondent on NPR's All Things Considered. She was the "deputy chief of the investigative team for Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee" during Clinton's re-election. Her time at the University of Washington School of Law Seattle was from 1995 to 2001. She ran their Trial Advocacy Program. Between 2001 and 2017 Wiehl worked as an analyst in the field of law for Fox News.
