Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Her initial inspiration was the shadows that were cast onto grass. Months later she came up with a technique that did not create the object she chose onto canvas in an image that was flat. Rather the subject is transformed into a re-creation of itself, where the surface transforms into the medium for it's personal interpretation by painting, particularly when the subject is alive or perishable for example, like humans or fruits. Alexa Meade's works are fleeting and the image is what is left. Both photographic and painting techniques are so tightly coordinated that the result is an unflat, 2-dimensional space that achieves trompe l'oeil. The third dimension can only be seen in specific areas that are close to the eyes or in hair. Meade will sometimes integrate her painting into the surrounding three-dimensional environment, which allows for the model to be a part of their own world. The boundaries between performance, photography, and installation is thus broken.
