Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The initial inspiration came from shadows cast on grass. A few months later she devised a process that didn't make the subject on the canvas as an unflat image. The subject is a mirror of itself, and the canvas carries an interpretation by painting of the object. This is especially true in the case of a living item or something perishable, like people or fruit. Alexa Meade's paintings are ephemeral and the image is what is left. Trompe l'oeil is achieved by combining the two techniques of photographing and painting. This creates a flattened, two dimensional picture. At times, Meade integrates her painted models with the 3-dimensional space around them, allowing them to interact within the self-created universe. This is a way of breaking down the barriers between painting, photography, performances and installations.
