Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) She is an English singer/songwriter. Ellie Goulding, a British musician and singer who gained fame in the year 2010 when her smash singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is at the cutting edge of the movement, just like Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music as well as independent arty pop. Her soprano voice as well as her ability to write emotionally authentic songs is what makes her unique. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed the singer and began making plans to release her debut album.
